The day Dagwood finally snapped

The day Dagwood finally snapped can be traced to this comic:

BLONDIE #166, Dec 1966 (King Features) where we see Dagwood defeated by his rooftop TV antenna. (Would the old people out there please explain what a "TV antenna" is to those here who are under 30? Thanks. And sorry. That you're so old.) Perhaps the run-in with the TV antenna fried Dagwood's brain... I don't know. I DO know that Dagwood gets his revenge:

BLONDIE #164, Aug 1966 (King Features)...

RUN BLONDIE! HE'S GOT AN AXE!

He must've been watching Fox when he saw that they cancelled Arrested Development...

That first cover is the reason I haven't taken the old antenna down from my roof.
