Keeping track of the INFINITE CRISIS dead and keeping up with the weekly 52!

Alert reader Mike B. sent me THIS LINK to a Wikipedia listing of all the known and suspected dead characters who gave their all during the INFINITE CRISIS... and on a related note, HERE'S A LINK to a site that DC put up that will be tracking the events of 52, the year-long, weekly series that catches us up real-time with the huge changes wrought by the Infinite Crisis.
From the article at ICV2:
Throughout the year as the 52 comic book series chronicles the fate of a world without Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, 52thecomic.com will function as an Internet newsmagazine granting readers access to the headlines and stories of The Daily Planet including sports and weather information. In addition to this straight narrative function, the Website will also provide visitors with a "meta" service by providing interviews with the writers of the 52 comic, Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka and Mark Waid as well as behind-the-scenes storyboards by 52 breakdown artist Keith Giffen.
That's a pretty cool idea.
You can't keep track of the players without a scorecard!

That's cool.
Do I have to read (and understand) Infinite Crisis to understand 52?
I don't think you have to have read Infinite Crisis to understand 52, but it sure would help! I'm pretty sure we have all the issues still in stock at both stores or they are coming soon.
I just finished readign 52 #1 and I loved it. I've been a little worried about this series, since no one has ever been able to sustain a weekly series in the past with any quality, but this is a great beginning. I'm hooked! What did happen to Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman? What's the question have to do with all this? and holy cow....Ralph Dibney? What did the rest of you think?
Woah! Looks pretty exciting, a powerhouse of writers. Hey, did Dibny DO it? and is the Question a peeping perv? Hey have no fear about the series ...Didio promises!
...All hail Black Adam!
Thanks, Ned.
I only picked up issue #6 of IC (I'm not sure why...). But I'll definately be picking up the rest of the issues.
The other reason I may not have understood IC is because I haven't really read any of the new DC comics. That would probably help...
52... the question! nuff' said
