can't say enough about detective comics new scribe RObinson..and the back up jason bard story is really cool...52 was so much fun and i definitely will be reading the rest..i'm hooked.I say to antone not reding marvel but wants to read Avengers Disassembled and then HOuse of M and now Civil War...you'll naturally want to read some solos and stuff

A little disappointed with the end of Infinite Crisis. I think I wanted more things to change besides the predictable Superfamily death and a new Flash.

I enjoyed a lot of the lead up to Infinite Crisis, but issue #7 was just less of an ending than I'd hoped for. 52 seems promising, so I may have to see where it goes.

My frustation right now is I feel like DC Comics had a good direction going, and no I'm not sure where a lot of it stands. I hit such a wall with Marvel around Disassembled and haven't really gone back to them. I know change is a constant and it needs to occur to avoid stagnation, but so much of what I have enjoyed about DC's handling of characters over the years versus Marvel's has totally been put into question for me even since Identity Crisis.

But one shouldn't get bent out of shape about this kind of thing. It's just fiction! And I can do my own Superboy thing and pound out my own little continuity waves through my collection, and if a story doesn't do it for me, I don't need to follow it or keep it. Hell, I quite accepting Emerald Dawn as a part of Green Lantern history years ago! The wonderful thing about comics is there's plenty or room to discover other periods of time or characters or books that you can find joy in.

I always tell people that they should just DELETE any story arcs that they don't like... keep the ones that appeal to you to create your very own continuity.

I call my own carefully-selected comic book history... EARTH-BILL.

No clone. No Hal kills everyone. No broken-backed Bat. No pony-tailed Clark. No armored Daredevil. No Silver Surfer soap opera. Just stuff I like.

Earth-Bill.
