The Big Con

Here's something else from the vault... a flyer from York-Con 2. What great graphics, courtesy of Mego Steve Leach. Boy, those conventions were fun! Local, loose and lotsa laffs! I used to keep the mailing list for the con flyers on my COMMODORE-64! That thing rocked!
OK, no it didn't. But it was state-of-the-art technology, and it did the job.
Good times.

Now I have the urge to read some ALL STEVE comics!
Damn you, Bill!
Man, I HAVE GOT to dig up those old ALL STEVE comics and get the man to autograph them. I mean, he's been all over the 'net now!
Anybody remember that other local, photocopied publication, "The Beat?" I think they printed it out of the Lancaster area maybe? Any help Bill?
stymieresh - The Beat minicomic included the talents of Karl Heitmuller, the guy who did the MTV.com articles about collecting that featured Steve Leach that I posted about previously...
I'm sure Steve has more info... Steve?
(I will do a post on ALL-STEVE comics soon...)
Ugh. how embarrassing.
Karl did several issues of Beat Comics. The first few were done at actual comic book size on a real printing press, but the comic later evolved into a digest (half of 8-1/2" x 11" sheet) anthology book.
That's right... I have a couple of the digest-sized ones...
Hey, remember "CHAOS!" minicomics? I think that's where I first read your stuff Steve... something about Reagan
Man, you know what all this nostalga makes me think of...
Those way cool action figures of Bill and Ned you guys had on display back when you were in the hole in the wall shop!
I think we've talked about those here before. Do you have any pics of those things? SO FUNNY.
I will dig those up... I know they're around here somewhere...
Oh Yeah! You gotta post 'em!
I found Ned, now I gotta find me.
