Headed for Daytona

Well, it's that time of year when Karen, Max, Leni and I make the trek to fabulous Daytona Beach, Florida to visit Mom and Pop, who actually live in neighboring Port Orange. 19 miles of firm-packed, gently-sloping beaches make Daytona Beach my favorite beach. There's always enough room to get away from the noisy crowds, and you can DRIVE. ON. THE. BEACH! We brought Max's Dragon Kite, and various pails and shovels and other beach accoutrements and gear, including Sunblock4000™ for my pasty pale skin. Later in the week we'll be visiting friends down in Homestead, and then of course a drive down to the Keys. Ahhh... paradise. Anyhoo, while my family and I are enjoying ourselves doing absolutely nothing I'll be posting from Pop's computer, so things may get a bit erratic. I will try to put up some posts about where I like to visit while in Florida, so bear with me.
HERE'S some Daytona Beach webcams... I'll be at the Main Street Pier on Monday, August 7th at 1:00PM... I'll be the pudgy, sunburned, middle-aged guy in the loud Hawaiian shirt waving madly!
*sniff* I'm gonna miss my Wednesday comic fix, though...

Have a good time!
At least you only miss one wednesday, I'm missing 16 of them! At least I'll be set until around january when I get back, though.
If you feel like swinging through Alabama on your way back, let me know.
We'll do lunch! :D
Enjoy the trip, Bill!
Daytona's a great place, with incredible restuarants.
Have fun Bill, you deserve it! Tell Mom and Pop Wahl I said Hi! and I love her home made cookies...hint...hint...
Ned, mom already made Key Lime Pie and Peach Pie, with homemade crust of course... the perfect finish to a seafood dinner!
OK, did you all see me on the BeachCam waving?
Sorry! I was washing my hair! :D
