The Weekend Comics Chat Open Thread - the I'm Confused Edition!

Hello again and welcome back... have a seat anywhere... cuppa coffee? Iced tea? OK, so what did you read this week? One of the books I read this week was:

CSI: DYING IN THE GUTTERS #1 (IDW). The main reason I picked this up was because the (murder) plot centers around a fictional Comic Book Convention in Las Vegas, featuring real-life comic book creators Ed Brubaker, Peter David, Joe Quesada, Greg Rucka and Marc Silvestri... as SUSPECTS in the murder of online comic industry muckraker Rich Johnston! It's interesting in that the portrayal of some of these real live people is less than flattering... in fact the Joe Quesada in this comic is a Class A Jerkhead! Having never met the man, I can't say if this is an accurate portrayal or not. Anyway, the first issue is interesting, despite fairly pedestrian art. Not being a fan of the TV show, I can't tell you if this comic captures the proper CSI flavor or not, but the comic book-related plot was a fun read.
So what's on your stack?

ALL STAR SUPERMAN!!!!!!
ALL STAR SUPERMAN!!!!!!
ALL STAR SUPERMAN!!!!!!
Holy smokes! What's happening with Red Tornado??
Holy buckets black inks!!! Red tornado is awesome how bout it? I also like seeing Meltzer work with some more obscure b-list characters...its cool huh?
Yeah, Go Meltzer! It almost makes you think Reddy will get promoted to a-list status... the way Bats was talking him up.
All-Star Superman was great this week...better than the last two issues have been, especially in the art department. X-Men was better than I expected, Superman/Batman was kind of hard to follow for someone who is largely new to DC, but enjoyable none the less. 52 was ok. The origin of Lobo at the end was one of the best parts..."He who eats your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it." Sick, but funny.
Most of the Civil War tie-ins have been good, except Cable & Deadpool revealed a secret about issue 4 of Civil War.
Besides that, it was good, with some humor at (P)Resident Bush's expense.
