Turtles art sold!

Check out this story from the ICV2 website:
Kevin Eastman has sold the original art for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 on eBay for a winning bid of $250,099. The auction, which ended on March 25th, provides some idea of the potency of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a cultural phenomenon.

Not bad for two guys and their DAREDEVIL parody comic book...

Funny story: When this came out, I was living in Florida and the guy at Harbor Oaks World of Books (my favorite comic shop) in Port Orange was trying to get me to sample this new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comic book. I rolled my eyes and bought something else.

I have since learned to listen to experts.
