This has nothing to do with anything, but my good pal Brian L. hooked me up recently with a pair of these cool "SWAT boots", as my US Army combat boots were looking like they had some serious mileage on them, which they did because I've been wearing them for about five years:


I highly recommend 511's A.T.A.C. (All Terrain, All Condition) boots to anyone who likes this kind of stuff... they're incredibly light and comfortable, and have this cool side-zipper feature that eliminates the need to lace up every time you put them on:
