The IRON MAN movie is looking COMPLETELY AWESOME!

I've never been a huge fan of Iron Man from Marvel Comics and was pretty ambivalent about the upcoming film... until they showed us this trailer at the Diamond Retailer Summit in Baltimore on Monday:



Holy mackerel, that almost made me faint! Very very cool!

Release Date: May 2nd, 2008, which as you all know is right before FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2008!

Dude, same here. Ironman never really grabbed my interest, and with some of the crap movie they've churned out over the last couple of year I wasn't too hopeful - until I heard they scored RD jr. Winston killed on the costume design, so this one might actually have a chance at being kickass and something we haven't really seen on the big screen before. If I had to guess based on early buzz, this one's going to do gangbusters.

Yeah, maybe since IRON MAN isn't a SPIDER-MAN or X-MEN, they'll make a movie that will appeal more directly to the comic fans than the general public... it sure seemed like this was hitting all the comic-booky highlights.
