From the vault - 20th Anniversary edition Part 18

Here's something cool... this was sent in by long-time fan Matt Amberman. The event was an in-store signing with Tim Truman (GRIMJACK, SCOUT) and Tom Lyle (ROBIN, COMET) at the York store.

Matt sent this along with the pictures:

I remember being a senior in high school and being extremely excited to see Tim Truman and Tom Lyle. Tom was the "hot" artist due to the upcoming Robin series. Being a fan of the Scout series, looking at Tim's sketches was awesome. My older brother Mark was cool enough (as older brothers always are) to commission Tim to draw me a sketch. Tim drew Scout's son, who was to be the lead in the next Scout series. Well there hasn't been a new Scout series, but I do have the first sketch of the "Scout: Marauder" if it ever comes out. Tim's inscription on the sketch reads, "Yo, Bubba!" "Scout: Marauder" "For Matt" "York 91” and with his signature he wrote "#1". Tim has been very cool every time that I have met him and I appreciate Bill and Ned for bringing him in. My brother Mark (in the picture with Tom) got a sketch of Robin and Captain America, which still hangs on his walls. A big thanks to Bill and Ned for all the cool things they have done for us fans and customers. A much bigger congratulations on Twenty years.
-Matt Amberman

Thank you, Matt!
