ORANGE ALERT! Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel to star in PRISONER remake!
Well, it looks like they picked some good ones to star in the remake of my FAVORITE TV SHOW EVER, The PRISONER! Behold:
Caviezel, who shot to fame playing the role of the idealist private Witt in The Thin Red Line, has been cast in the Patrick McGoohan role as Number Six, the hero who finds himself trapped in a mysterious and surreal place known as The Village, with no memory of how he arrived.
McKellen, who is best known globally for playing Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, will take the role of Number Two, the sinister head of The Village.
WOOT! More info on The Prisoner HERE and HERE!
Be seeing you...

The original was such an awesome show! I remember many years ago, Mel Gibson's production company was quoted as saying Mel was interested in remaking it, and that made me worried. This cast, with the network that is bring us "Mad Men", puts my fears to rest. This should be great!
I have never seen the final episode, only a scattered few here and there. Guess I need to fork out the bucks and buy the complete DVD set. I always loved this, and also the prestige comic DC did in the 80's...
