This might be the first time CALVIN & HOBBES creator Bill Watterson has spoken to the press in fifteen years!
I think some of the reason "Calvin and Hobbes" still finds an audience today is because I chose not to run the wheels off it.

Absolutely! Calvin and Hobbes and Far Side were by far the last decent comic strip out there. I haven't even glanced at a comic page since those days...
