.) What canceled or finished comic book series should be revived?None. They died for a reason - no readers. OK, I lied. I'd like to see more "Bob the Alien" from the old Dark Horse Presents. And Xenozoic Tales by the incomparable Mark Schultz. And more Rocketeer by Dave Stevens. Ah, forget it. I could fill a page with just stuff I'd like to see still coming out...
.) When and how did you discover comic books? When I was a child and we visited my Grandpop in Philly I used to sleep on the couch in the living room. On Sunday mornings at 6AM, he would drop the Sunday funnies section on the table beside me so that when I woke up it would be there for me to read. And then he would make breakfast, so that was the smell I awoke to - Grandpop's breakfast. With a big city's Sunday comic section within reach. Comic books? Well, I remember buying a four-inch stack of British DANDYs and BEANOs at the elementary school's May Festival in 3rd grade, and my uncle had a big stack of MAD magazines that he kept in his closet that he told me not to touch, so of course I snuck off and read them.
.) What appeals to you about comic books as an art form? The unique experience of reading words and seeing pictures that an artist has chosen from his imagination, in a perfect, non-duplictable combination.
.) Earliest memory of Comix Connection?I have no early memories of Comix Connection. OK, one of my earliest memories is of the end-of-night receipts for the Very First Day We Were Open At The Delco Plaza... it was something like $15.85. I know I saved that bit of paperwork somewhere.
.) Anything interesting we should know about you?I collect antique electric fans. I am an accomplished gleeker. I have a birthmark RIGHT ON MY FACE.
