Dear Diamond Customer:
Due to a serious accident involving the truck transporting Marvel Comics titles from the printer to Diamond's Distribution Centers, several Marvel titles were damaged or lost.
As a result, orders for several Marvel titles that were scheduled to arrive on February 3 will not be filled in full.

The situation affects three groups of titles.

***** GROUP ONE
Customers will be allocated to approximately 80%-95% of their total ordered quantities on the following Marvel books.

PLATTSBURGH CUSTOMERS, PLEASE NOTE: While a significant portion of your orders for these titles (about 60%-90%) will ship to you on February 3, you will receive some quantities of these titles ONE WEEK LATER, on February 10.

Marvel is working to quickly reprint the impacted quantities of each book. Quantities not received on February 3 should ship from one to two weeks of that initial ship date.

So it looks like we'll be getting MOST of these affected titles, then the balance of our orders a week later, so subscribers should be covered. Let's just hope everyone involved is OK.

The first printing of Yen Press’s Twilight: The Graphic Novel will be 350,000 copies, according to the company. It will street on March 16th in hardcover for $19.99. This first volume will tell the story of the first half of the prose novel; the release date for the second half of the story has not yet been announced.

The graphic novel will use selected text from Stephenie Meyer’s original novel, paired with illustrations by Young Kim. The Kim art will be primarily in b/w, with color “interspersed throughout,” according to Yen.

Access Problems

Hey, a few of you have probably noticed that I haven't posted much the last couplefew days... I've been drowning in the monthly comic orders, then had sporadic internet access problems the last three days. There is nothing more disheartening than creating a post and then having it lost to the ether. (Oh and then I visited friends and drove golf balls, ate hardshell crabs and drank beer all day on Monday, so that day was shot.) Anyway, Mechanicsburg Manager Joe Hare picked up the ball for the weekend, so thanks for that, Joe! I'll try to get the posting back to the regular daily grind from here on out. By the way, thanks for checking in everybody! I really appreciate it!

As you are probably aware, if you buy comic books on a regular basis and want to be certain that you don't miss any of your favorite titles, we PULL them when they come in on delivery days and HOLD them for you until you come in and pick them up! There is NO CHARGE for the service and we pull our subscriber's orders BEFORE we put the new books on the shelves... this ensures that the subscriber's orders are filled first.

Just a couple of points:

1) We ask that the comic books you requested to have held for you be picked up at least ONCE EVERY FIVE WEEKS. If you do not pick your comics up in a timely manner, we will attempt to call you to see when you are planning on picking them up. If you do not appear within SIX WEEKS, we may put your box on hold or cancel your subscription box and put any comics that we held for you back on the racks for general sale. Subscription boxes will be reinstated on a case-by-case basis. YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR PHONE NUMBER CURRENT with us! Please check with the Staff to see if all your information is up-to-date!

2) Additionally, anything "Special Ordered" through the PREVIEWS catalog (T-shirts, toys, graphic novels, statues, etc.) will also be held for you when it arrives - you will be notified of its arrival by a NOTE in your Subscription Box. These "Special Orders" also need to be picked up WITHIN FIVE WEEKS of their arrival. If they are not picked up in a timely manner, they may be returned to the racks for anyone to purchase, and you will lose your ability to place Special Orders with Comix Connection without a deposit.
