Access Problems

Hey, a few of you have probably noticed that I haven't posted much the last couplefew days... I've been drowning in the monthly comic orders, then had sporadic internet access problems the last three days. There is nothing more disheartening than creating a post and then having it lost to the ether. (Oh and then I visited friends and drove golf balls, ate hardshell crabs and drank beer all day on Monday, so that day was shot.) Anyway, Mechanicsburg Manager Joe Hare picked up the ball for the weekend, so thanks for that, Joe! I'll try to get the posting back to the regular daily grind from here on out. By the way, thanks for checking in everybody! I really appreciate it!

Spider-Obama

Hey everyone! Have you head the news that President-Elect Obama is in the new issue of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN? You haven't? Do you live in a cave?

Anyway, let me clear this up for all of you...

WE DO NOT HAVE THE "OBAMA COVER VARIANTS" OF AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #583!

WE HAVE THE USUAL AMOUNTS OF THE REGULAR COVER VERSION OF AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #583. WHATEVER IS LEFT AFTER PULLING SUBSCRIBER COPIES (HI GUYS AND GALS!) WILL BE RACKED FOR GENERAL SALE AS USUAL.

WE DO HAVE 2nd PRINTINGS OF THE "OBAMA COVER VARIANT" OF AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #583 COMING IN NEXT WEDNESDAY (the day after the Inauguration)! IT IS IDENTICAL TO THE 1st PRINTING WITH OBAMA ON THE COVER, BUT IT HAS A DIFFERENT COLOR BACKGROUND. ASK TO BE PUT ON THE LIST IF YOU WANT A COPY!

I'm sorry we don't have a ton of these coming in for all the fans... believe me, I want to sell you whatever you're looking for. Who knew back on December 16th when I finalized my orders for this "beat previous order levels on a slipping title like AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to get Obama Cover Variants" that it would get the publicity it has? I apologize to all the unhappy folks out there... I goofed on this one. Still, we'll have plenty of the 2nd printings for anyone who wants this historic issue as a nice souvenir.

UPDATE 1/14/09: We just got word that the 2nd printings are SOLD OUT even though they ship next Wednesday, and Marvel is going back to press for a 3RD PRINT! We have a couple hundred 2nd printings coming, so we should be good for a while! Again, let us know if you want to reserve a copy by calling the stores!
